The dog days of summer are nearly over, and that means canicross time!

I'm not saying that I haven't enjoyed the lack of mud, not having to wash everything twice a day, and the feeling of losing my boot in another muddy field.

But I can't wait for it to be cool enough to get out running regularly with my dogs again!

We did head out to the Hardmoors Rosedale last weekend, but only for the 10k and at a super steady amble given the conditions. It's just not safe to do anything fast or furious with our dogs right now, but a slow route with plenty of water stops was perfect for the Big Yin (Laird)'s first race experience.

#1 lesson learned - avoid Laird seeing cats just before the previous runners go off - the singing was memorable to say the least and oh my the power in that chest!
